Medical Education in the Czech Republic: universities
The one-year English course in Prague will help you to enter Charles University and the Czech Technical University, which are the Czech Republic’s leading medical education institutions. The first of them has 5 faculties related to medicine and is the first university in the country since the 14th century. The university cooperates with many major clinics and hospitals in Prague, where students practice – among them Thomayerova nemocnice, FN MOTOL, Všeobecná fakultní nemocnice and others. You will also be able to participate in international research projects and grants during your studies.
The second major university where you can study medicine in the Czech Republic is CTU (České vysoké učení technické) – the main technical high school of the Czech Republic. Due to its main focus on the development of technologies and sciences related to them, the university is actively developing interdisciplinary programs that link medicine, biology and engineering. The faculty of Biomedicine is quite young and for the last 15 years has been the main engine in the development of nanotechnologies, research of biocompatible materials and other advanced areas. When you enroll in CTU, you can be sure that you will choose an up-to-date and exciting education and will be able to participate in cooperation with EAMBES (The European Alliance for Medical and Biological Engineering and Science), Erasmus-Mundus CEMACUBE and Health Technology Assessment in the Czech Republic.
After completing a one-year English course at the MSM Academy, you can also choose to enter any other medical university in the Czech Republic, as well as in other European and American countries.
