Our partner in the UK is the British Council – a public organization established by a royal charter in 1934 to promote cooperation in the fields of education, culture and art between the UK and other countries. Queen Elizabeth II is the patron and the head of Council, Prince of Wales is the vice-patron and Lord Kinnock, ex-leader of the Labour Party, is the official president of the organization. The British Council operates in 110 countries around the world with the staff of over 7000 people.
